PRUNEDALE, Calif. -- A 250-gallon propane tank exploded inside a Prunedale house on the 500 block of Strawberry Road just before noon Thursday, North Monterey County firefighters said.

According to Dawson, a 250-gallon propane tank was being sandblasted when it fell off a forklift. A valve on the tank broke and fumes vented into the air.
