Meanwhile, snow could pile up as high as 10 feet in the central Sierra Nevadas. Most residents in the Sierra Nevadas are expected to get 5 to 8 feet of snow.

Communities at 4,000 feet will see 10 to 14 inches, making this easily the biggest snowstorm of the season. Wet snow may fall as low as 3,000 feet with light accumulations.

According to the NWS, parts of the Cascades in Washington could see between 4 and 12 inches of snow accumulation at or above elevations greater than 3,500 feet.
