Officers responded to the 4300 block of the Circle at North Hills Street, after a 911 caller reported “a male was shooting at someone.” Initial reports indicated several people might have been shot, according to the archive feed for Wake County fire departments.

ABC11 spoke to a security expert about violence in the workplace following the deadly shooting at North Hills in Raleigh on Friday.

The incident took place at Coquette, a French restaurant in a North Hills mall, located in an affluent area of Raleigh on Friday. While the call was initially for an ‘active shooter,’ police later confirmed it was not a traditional ‘active shooter’ situation.
