The New York Jets have hired Aaron Glenn to be the next head coach, but have completely changed course on the GM strategy.

But amid all the excitement about former cornerback coming back to lead the team that picked him in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft, the search for a new general manager did not come to an end with them hiring their only finalist, Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark who interviewed with Glenn on Tuesday.

As much as New York deserves praise for the hiring, naturally, the franchise's top brass couldn't let a good thing last.
