Many students across Middle Tennessee will have another snow day as dangerously cold temperatures continue to cause slick roadways. The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for Middle Tennessee.

While the snow is melting, some of the more rural Tennessee and southern Kentucky counties are still not thawed out from the snowfall this week.

Many students across Middle Tennessee will have another snow day Thursday after several inches of snow fell Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and continued frigid temperatures are keeping it from melting.

While the snow stopped falling, freezing weather remains. Here's which East Tennessee schools will be closed or on remote learning Friday, Feb. 21.

The National Weather Service in Nashville estimated that between 1 and 6 inches of snow could fall across the Middle Tennessee region.

School districts across East Tennessee remained closed after a snowstorm swept through East Tennessee on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
