EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – Fire officials say a Edmond family including pets are safe after a early morning house fire. According to Edmond fire, a family woke up to flames inside the home around 2:30 a.m. Firefighters say, upon arrival flames were spotted coming out of a front window near East 15th Street and South Coltrane Road.

The Edmond Fire Department said the fire began shortly after 2 a.m. near South Coltrane Road and East 15th Street. Crews said heavy flames were coming from a second-floor window of the home when they arrived. A family living inside the home said the fire awoke them but were able to evacuate safely with no injuries.
