The nominees for the 2025 EE BAFTA film awards are being unveiled in London on Wednesday. Actors Will Sharpe and Mia McKenna Bruce are revealing the coveted shortlists at 12 p.m. GMT (4 a.m. PT) in a livestream from the U.K. Academy’s headquarters at 195 Piccadilly in the British capital.

Holy smokes, a film that dramatizes the process to choose a Pope leads the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards. “Conclave” earned 12 nominations, beating out the musical about a drug lord getting gender affirming care, “Emilia Pérez,” which had 11. Period drama “The Brutalist” scored nine nominations.
