Hi We were there in early May and we thought that layering up would be fine, however we did buy a windcheater at the Prince of Whales shop (cost about £26 and good quality) and...… I was very glad we did!! It was quite cool out on the water and I am usually quite a warm blooded person. however it is different for everyone. I would recommend taking a light jacket - just in case. Hope that helps,
