Q:
Is there a restroom available anywhere on site? Thanks in advance
A:
Yes, there is a restroom available. You'll want to use it before the tour starts because it's not close to the tour trail.

We saw young children on our trip to the sanctuary, but none of them seemed particularly engaged. Some were more interested in playing with stones in the puddles. The guides give excellent adult level lectures and the wolves are in very large pens, so are often difficult to see. It would not be my choice for a 6 yo.

Thanks for your review of the wolf sanctuary. I have never been, but my son loves wolves. I am a slow walker. How much walking is involved and are folks able to walk at a slow pace, or is it more fast paced? Is one time of year better than another? Is a particular time of day better than another? Thanks so much. Tiffani

There are quite a bit of hills. Not an issue for most ppl, but I noticed most of the little kids getting tired after about 30 min. Our tour lasted 45 min. I would go during a cooler day. I went last Aug. and it warmed up really fast, almost miserable with the humidity. The guides may wait for you to catch up, but can't be too sure about that. I would recommend going anyway since this place is really awesome, especially for someone who loves wolves. Some of them (wolves) were really active and close to the fences.
