He is correct ! The ticket booth is easy to find, and m guide took care of it in less than in a minute. A traveller on their own would have no problems !!
Can someone give advice when Egypt museums, tombs, temples, are open and closed? Are things generally open on Saturday, Sunday? I don't want to schedule my trip to Lux over the weekend if there is a day I can't seen anything...thanks!

They are open everyday. The hours vary for in season. We never purchased anything in advance but we went in January.
