Founded in 1990, the Tallahassee-Leon Geographic Information Systems Department is a joint inter-local agency formed by the Leon County Board of County Commissioners, the City of Tallahassee, and the Leon County Property Appraiser's Office. To increase GIS usage throughout the community, the Interlocal GIS Program utilizes multiple platforms. Additionally, we host Historical Tallahassee:tlcgis.org/history, which provides self-guided tours and resources for learning about local history, and TLCPermits: tlcpermits.org, which offers permits, licenses, and contracts in one place.
