I was there in November but we were driving our own car. Did not see any public busses, but there appears to be lots of day or maybe even longer tours out of Melbourne. If you don't want to drive a tour out of Melbourne is probably your best option. Google tours in Melbourne and communicate with them directly to see about details, prices etc. I usually check 2 or 3 companies before deciding This is a beautiful area with many places to stop at and enjoy the scenery. Most tours will have enough of the highlights to get a flavor of the area.
For taking good photos... is sunrise and sunset equally good? Do the viewpoints / lookouts limit me to take photos just from one direction or is it quite possible to freely roam around and take photos?
