Greenwood Township is located in McHenry County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 13,990 and it contained 5,040 housing units. According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 35.78 square miles, of which 35.26 square miles is land and 0.53 square miles is water.
