Animals’ enclosures were very small and animals looked sad and crowded. Birds had very little room to fly. We visited after heavy rain and there was very little grass in the enclosures for the alpac…Full review by Fliss T
I see that it is easy to get a shared van to the sanctuary, but I’d like to go on to Pisac after the sanctuary. What would be a good way to do that? Thanks!

I'm not sure how you would return, thought the sanctuary can likely arrange transportation to Pisac from there. Suggest you contact them, or contact driver in Cuzco.

I don't know the hours for the animal sanctuary, but it might help you to know there is another good site to visit that's extremely close (a little farther up the road from Cuzco). I don't know its name, but it's like a living museum of llamas, alpacas, vicunas, etc. and it has exhibits and demonstrations of wool processing and weaving, native food plant varieties, and more. It includes a very nice gift shop of well-made artisan items. So if you arrive too early for the animal sanctuary, you might go to this place first and the sanctuary second.
